|2021/2022 BMA Information Fund Application Form now Open by Peter(m): Mon Sep 2021 02:29pm|
I am pleased to announce that the 2021 BMA Information Fund is now open for applications, marking the 6th anniversary of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The fund provides health information and educational materials to health-focused organisations in low-income countries.
We work in partnership with Health Books International to provide resources that are tailored to the specific education and training needs of health workers operating in low-resource settings. Materials available include books, online resources, practical guides and tools, DVDs and CDs.
Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage and essential health services remain severely disrupted in 90% of countries. We are therefore prioritising applications that support mitigation and recovery from COVID-19, whether through direct action to combat the virus or restoring other services disrupted as a result of the pandemic. Successful applicants will show that the requested resources will have a sustained and meaningful impact, and support achievement of one or more SDG targets (https://sdgs.un.org/).
Have a look at our webpage and read the blog from our International Committee chair for more information on this year’s fund themes, the initiatives we have previously supported and information on how to apply. The application deadline is 5 November 2021, but applications are capped at 100 so early application is encouraged! Please share our tweet and Facebook post to help spread the word.
The following types of organisations can apply:
Health-focused non-governmental organisations
Human rights and community development organisations involved in local capacity-building
(Please note we are not able to respond to requests from individuals.)
If you know someone or an organisation that would also like to take part, please share this fantastic opportunity with them!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
